We took a friend to the airport this morning. His flight was early so we traveled to the airport just before sunrise. The Windhoek airport is about 24 miles outside of town so you get a wonderful expansive sky view on the way there. Here is what it looked like as the sun was about to break the eastern horizon.

And later at day’s end, most of the early early morning clouds had dissipated except for these few on the eastern horizon

while the western horizon was completely clear with simple, beautiful color to round out the day.
